Description

A Beverage Production Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the production process of beverages, ensuring that all products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The role involves working with various ingredients, equipment, and technology to efficiently produce a wide range of beverages, such as soft drinks, juices, ethanol extraction, or specialty drinks.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:
  • Monitor and control the beverage production process from start to finish.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment.
  • Ensure production schedules are met within time and quality constraints.
Quality Control:
  • Conduct regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure product consistency.
  • Record and report any deviations from quality standards and work to resolve issues.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the production environment remains compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and quality standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
  • Train and educate team members on safety procedures and best practices.
Inventory Management:
  • Track inventory of raw materials and finished products.
  • Work closely with the warehouse or logistics teams to ensure materials are replenished as needed.
  • Minimize waste and optimize the use of raw ingredients.
Process Improvement:
  • Continuously assess production processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Implement changes to reduce costs, improve product quality, and increase throughput.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other departments such as R&D, packaging, and distribution to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to production team members.
Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with machinery or production lines.
  • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise: Knowledge of beverage production processes, machinery, and technology.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring consistency and quality control.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
  • Physical Stamina: The role often requires standing for long periods and lifting or moving heavy materials.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
  • Education: Typically a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior experience in beverage production, manufacturing, or a related field is recommended.

  • This role will be 20-25 hours per week

Compensation

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
